Based on the east side of Camp Pendelton in Fallbrook at Fallbrook Airpark, Squadron 87's main focus is to provide support in search and rescue, disaster relief, counterdrug operations and other missions for the US Air Force, California Office of Emergency Services, the American Red Cross, and other government and humanitarian agencies.

Our members provide their skills as pilots and aircrew members, radio operators, ground crew, administrators, trainers, and other specialists in support of the squadron and on mission bases.

The "Scout Shack" is a community meeting center operated by the Fallbrook Volunteer Fire Department. It is located at 231 East Hawthorne. The meeting room is between the La Caseta Mexican Restaurant and the Pine Tree Lumber Yard.
